Advantages of starting with the VIOS Framework
The VIOS Framework offers lots of tools that help us develop customised packages. Many requests recur during the various projects that we build. All these components are included in the framework and can be applied where necessary.
Here is a small sample from the long list of components:
- Communication with database: due to the flexible construction of the database connectors we only have to adjust a limited number of lines to be able to communicate with different types of databases. We are easily able to connect to mySql, Sql Server, Oracle, Progress, etc. and Access en Excel can be used as data providers.
- Customer management: tools for searching for customers by name, address, telephone number, order number, etc.
- CRM: keep track of all communication with your customers in easy to search lists. Messages can be sent to other individual users or groups.
- Product management: ability to classify products in several categories, stock management, photos, etc.
- Planning: spread the current assignments over the people in your organisation
- Exporting to PDF and Excel: the framework includes many templates and the components for generating PDF reports (worksheets, invoices, product lists, barcodes, etc.) and Excel documents
- Users: can adjust which functions are available per user and/or user group according to three criteria
